The nozzle and the ProphyPen handpiece can be disconnected, it only takes a few seconds to replace soiled elements before treating the next patient.
The ProphyPen is entirely autoclavable to keep the risk of cross-contamination between patients at bay.
The handpiece must be sterilized in an autoclave type B compliant with tandard EN 13060 :
Temperature : 134°C ;
Pression : 2 Bars (200 hPa) ;
Sterilization stabilization time : 18 minutes under steam heat.
